The aim of Poker is to make the best possible hand out of the seven cards dealt to players. When starting the game, each player has two personal cards and five community cards. The highest card gives the player the value of their hand. The game can be played with two or five players. Players place bets in front of the dealer.<\/p>\n
The dealer is the person who deals the cards to the players during a round of Poker. He or she is responsible for shuffling the deck and dealing cards. This person is usually a player, but a non-player may be appointed to be the dealer for the entire game. Players take turns playing the role of dealer. The dealer is designated with a dealer chip, which is passed on to a new player after each round. Players must respect the dealer’s position, as certain betting rules vary based on the position of the dealer.<\/p>\n
Players can raise their bets to increase their chances of winning. The other players in the hand can either call or fold their hand.
