Casino is a fascinating gangster film that shows how destructive greed can be. It may lack the pizzazz of Goodfellas but it still makes an important statement about the exploitation of people by those with power. It also has some of the best characters in any Scorsese film, especially Robert De Niro’s crook and Sharon Stone’s moll. There are so many memorable scenes in this movie, including the torture with a vice, the false bedrock that Ginger’s marriage was built on, and the scumbaggery of Nicky and his dog going after Ginger.
