A casino is a place where people can gamble and play games of chance. Poker is a unique game in that players don’t play against the casino, but rather against other players. As a result, the casino takes a small percentage of each pot – known as the rake – to help make up for this statistical disadvantage.
Security is a huge priority for most casino operators, who use cameras and other technological devices to monitor the actions of their patrons. They also enforce rules of conduct and behavior to help deter criminal activity.
